WHAT IS ASTRAGALUS MEMBRANACEUS
Astragalus membranaceus is considered one of the most important herbal tonics in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It has been used throughout Asia for thousands of years and is highly valued for its ability to strengthen the primary energy of the body. Astragalus root extract is an excellent tonic for athletes and performers for increasing physical energy, strength and endurance.
Astragalus is also a superb lung tonic. It supports the Lung Qi which helps assist and maintain the respiratory tract and mucous membranes integrity, fighting off invading airborne pathogens.

Studies show Astragalus root contains immune-stimulating polysaccharides; astragalans 1, 2, 3 and glucoronic acid that work to greatly enhance immune function. Astragalus root activates toll-like receptor signaling pathways (TLR’s); proteins that are located on the membranes of macrophage and dendritic cells that detect invading pathogens.
